There was a third song of Leah’s I recorded that was an audience request by the group Buckcherry that I will not post here due to the explicit lyrics, but, was going to include this link from Lynagh when I originally posted it because a particular song approaches the subject in an entirely different manner. If you listen to Lynagh’s original music, most of it centers around the issues of loss, longing and trying to come to terms with either the realization a relationship is over, or, the aftermath of what that means going forward. Then, there is the song I am highlighting. Had purchased the singles she has released and appreciate the diversity that each of those songs have. Decided to go ahead and purchase her EP. The first three cover the ground I mentioned previously, then, we get to Track 4 “Feel Good”. Purchased it a while back during my late break at work so I had my headphones in since everyone else was gone. Each song played and I identified in some personal way with each one because I could listen to her words and relate to a situation or moment I had experienced personally. I thought with the title “Feel Good” it might be just the other side of the relationship coin and how relationships are always nice in the beginning. It starts with a faster pace guitar in a lower note range. Kind of has an acoustic blues feel I was getting into. Then the lyrics started. Listened to the first couple of lines, paused it and thought to myself “What did she just sing?”. Rewound it and started over and the lyrics just kept going with an intensity that just completely surprised me and is yet again another departure from all her other releases. You know I tend to be a “word guy” but as I tried to describe to myself what I just heard, my mouth would open but no words were coming out because my head was just filled with so much imagery. If you have a certain mindset regarding your music taste and while there is nothing lyrically that would need a “Parental Advisory” label I will include the disclaimer that do not listen to this at work, or, while operating heavy machinery because the distraction level will be very immense. This is the link to the full EP on Spotify. https://open.spotify.com/album/5teeXwPlc306Ikxw5gEQGC?si=eYBdeKBoRkK7yA2AQPxyTQ
