If you recall my posting of Sunshine James’ performance of Derek and The Dominos’ “Layla”, after I posted it and shared the Google Drive link with him so he could use it for his own purposes, his parents contacted him to see if there were any performances he could share with them. Instead of getting the master and forwarding it to them himself, he decided to send them my email address and they sent me share requests. Only issue is I did not know he had done it so I wake up one morning to see them and briefly freaked out as to who these random people were and how they got my information. Sent him a message on Instagram and he responded about an hour later, but, still was stressed out about it for a while. Since at the time of this performance he was out on tour, wanted to have this available to use as a light hearted way to get revenge if he decided to surprise me again and could post it everywhere because I figured he wouldn’t want the attention. Since she also has a theatrical background, as part of the performance I asked her to channel her inner Theater Kid as well as her inner Spinal Tap and “Crank the drama to 11”. As a result this is her rendition of Bill Withers’ “Ain’t No Sunshine”.
