I might be getting too friendly with these local artists based on what happened last night since this I guess would be another “It happened at a bar” story. In an earlier post I had referenced Ken and and how he wanted me Ken to tie clips I post into Vandy football because he wants me to use my “social media presence” (you can stop laughing now) to try and make them “Everyone’s second favorite team” (his words, not mine) and since they were playing an away game at Northern Illinois I kept coming back to this song. Towards the end of their set I go to the stage and request from Lynagh this song, or anything else they could think of that included traveling, being on the road, or, something along those lines. As I make my way back to my seat, she gets to the microphone and says, “Everyone say hi to Phil”. Was so surprised by it all I could do was start looking around the room and waving. Without missing a beat, Sunshine then says, “I don’t usually drink (which is a lie by the way) but I got drunk with Phil last week”. He was referring to the photo I posted which had been a couple of weeks ago when we were watching Jillian perform a late set he was not a part of that included the Instagram story of the picture of the two of us with another person I posted previously. If I would have thought of it at time to reply with, “You’re lying…that was two weeks ago” but again was so surprised I didn’t think to respond. Guess I will have to be on my toes for next time 😁. With all of that in mind, this is them performing Wilie Nelson’s “On The Road Again”.
