Lynagh Original Song- Please Don’t Say Hello

Since she volunteered her backstory in regards to the song, going to volunteer mine as to why this is one of hers that is so personal to me. Soon after I started following her I purchased her released material. This is one of her songs that struck a chord with me because a long time ago I briefly had someone come into my life and while that encounter gave me the courage to break free from my terrible marriage (actuality took a job out of state to start the process) she previously made the decision because of our respective stations in life we couldn’t be together and she took the “safe route” to be with someone who was more compatible with her in that regard. Bring this up because I actually had two moments related to that person that are relatable to the song. The first was about a year after we stopped seeing each other I got a text message asking me to call her. Saw it right before work so I spent the whole day wondering why she messaged me and part of me hoped that maybe she had changed her mind. Finally got the chance to call her back (so of course I had to hear her say hello) and it was nothing like I expected so I had to go through those negative feelings all over again. Years go by and I am sitting outside my office on a break a few months ago. Happen to look up from my phone and I swear to this day I am about 90 percent sure she had just walked by. Where before I would have gone running up and after I confirmed it was her since my life has now changed and I realize this was one of those “never meant to be” situations I still would have to deal with those old feelings again. I started to stand up and this song popped in my head so I decided it was better to literally just let her walk away. To cap it off, the reason why I happened to look up from my phone is I was in the process of uploading one of her clips and got tired of looking at the screen while it was processing. After getting all of that out of the way, this is Lynagh performing her original song “Please Don’t Say Hello”.
