Had another “You ain’t going to believe this” event happen. Right at the time it was released on July 29th, Leah Crose posted an Instagram story about a new song from her friend Donny Van Slee titled “In The Bucket With All The Stickers On It” and this is the link on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/album/1p9W1GkkP8TvG36aB9dNa8?si=xUu8mtDgRO-nOJQ-wUu9Cw and I bring this up because he plays into the story. Liked the song and we connected on Instagram and have had a few conversations back and forth, but, this is another artist I haven’t been able to profile here because our schedules hadn’t matched up. Out of the blue, he posted an Instagram story that he needed a videographer Tuesday night and I replied I would be willing to help. He accepted the offer and gave me the address to the studio. Wasn’t sure what was going on but when I got there, he told me something that I was blown away I was going to have an indirect involvement in. He said he had been approached by “The Voice” to be on the program. He had to submit some audition clips and the camera you see to my left is what he used for that purpose, but, he wanted portrait style footage as well so that is where I came in. Did what I usually do and filmed in landscape, flipped them to portrait, made a copy and sent those versions to him. Since I always try and include all of you in each of the big moments, figure this definitely qualifies, and, I can now add videographer to my list. It definitely isn’t “pretty” based on the location and I filmed all of these with my back pressed against the wall while sitting on a drum case. Figure none of you have been in a position to be in on the beginning of something like this so I thought it would be really cool to share, and for any fans of the show, gives you an artist to keep your eye on. With that in mind as his @Locals debut, this is Donny performing Zach Bryan’s “Something In The Orange”.
As is his fashion, Sunshine announced somewhat last minute the official music video of Alyssa Coulter and his cover of Nickelback’s “Animals” is today at 12:00PM Central time in the U.S. adjust accordingly for your area.
