Moment of personal privilege on this one. From the first time I heard her song “Solo”, link on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/track/3tieOh9wrhxpOMM6lA4Y8F?si=vHjKWCjkSRCb3od_shUicg because of the lyrics related to the enjoyment that can come from being on your own and not having to deal with the issues that being in a relationship can bring I personally relate since that is where I was at the time I first heard it and am still in that position now. Since I tend to be a “visual person” (I know, this is where some of you will go, “Really, I hadn’t noticed” 😁) but with that in mind I always pictured a jazz/supper club venue and seeing her perform the song. Bring that up because this is another song I always visualized being on the playlist. Asked her a while back if she knew the song and she said no so I never brought it up again. Last night because of all the request activity from one guy in particular and he requested Van Morrison and in her words “Brown Eyed Girl” was kind of a cop-out and she decided she wanted to challenge herself, she took this on to perform it for the first time. As soon as I figured out where she was going left the before and after so you could see the prep work related to first attempt, and, the joy she felt when she pulled it off. Because of that I am so glad to be able to share with all of you Lynagh performing Van Morrison’s “Moondance”. Also left the commentary by John and if you can’t quite make it out since this was an initial performance he said, “That was a first time…Anyone else have a first time with Lynagh?” so her reply makes sense.
