Dance Her Home

Going to have A LOT of things going on with this series besides just the clips so expect a good bit of additional commentary. Starting with the fact of how I got here. Lynagh posted a picture of her mom and her all dressed up on Instagram so I figured she was going to be out of town and wouldn’t be performing. More on that later. Received a notification of a songwriters event happening last night at Sonny’s (which based on history never happens on a Sunday, I assume because of the game) that Bella Dorian was going on stage at 7:00PM and Leah Crose was going on stage at 10:00PM so that was my plan. Whoever is now handling social media for Loser’s is good about sending updates when a lineup changes. Noticed that instead of Lynagh it was going to be “The Sunshine James Duo”. Messaged him asking if it was going to be Jillian and him. He replied it was Lucas who all of you were introduced to last week. Since I had not been able to film anything from him due to him being out of town. Other than the “Nashville Custom Version” of “Should Have Been A Cowboy” last week and “Wild Wild West” from the writers round months ago I have no other clips of him performing acoustically so I wanted that footage. However, the biggest reason I went there is since I knew they had never worked together, figured there would be some interesting moments and boy was I correct as you will see later. When I go there, it started with me asking Sunshine if he remembered a screenshot of a Facebook post I sent him that will tie into a later clip. After Lucas arrived I asked him if he was happy about his new fans on Facebook referring to Thompson Square. He didn’t know what I was referring to since apparently Lynagh hadn’t told him. Mentioned them by name and he assumed I was messing with him. Replied with “You can ask Lynagh I always bring receipts” and pulled it up on my phone. Needless to say he was surprised based on his expression is an understatement. That covers all of the “Pre-Show” activity so let’s get into this with Sunshine James performing Cody Johnson’s “Dance Her Home”.

“Animals” Behind the scenes video

Sunshine posted a “Behind the scenes” video of Lyssa Coulter and him recording “Animals”. Figured I would go ahead and share it because you couldn’t hear any of his vocals with the footage Lyssa posted previously.

Point/Counterpoint “Animals” Pre-Save Video

Since he is involved with two songs coming out the 29th, Sunshine created a hilarious “counterpoint” to Lyssa’s IG story trying to get people to pre-save their cover of Nickelback’s “Animals”.
