Two Dozen Roses

Told you there was going to be extra narration. The place had started to empty out so other than three people watching the game (with no sound) at the other end of the building it was Sunshine, Lucas, Katie the bartender, three security guys, two female bartenders who were off the clock just hanging out and yours truly. Then a few minutes before I started filming this clip a certain female performer showed up after getting back from her hometown (Greenville, SC by the way) and was talking to Katie about her latest family drama based on the bits and pieces I was picking up. Since whenever they perform with her on stage she handles the sound levels, she spent some time tweaking those. As she was doing that she made the comment because she wasn’t on stage, “This feels weird”. I jokingly replied back, “Feels weird to you, how do you think I feel?” and she got a big grin. After she finished that she ordered a beer. Since Z.Z. Ward had shared a previous clip of hers I couldn’t take all the credit so I asked her if she knew anyone in Thompson Square. When she replied no I responded with “Congratulations on your new fans on Facebook”. We “clincked” the plastic cup of her draft and my can of PBR and she said how awesome that was regarding the Thompson Square situation. Then I got to update her about since the Vandy mens basketball team had just had two SEC wins, decided to repost her acoustic clip of “Another One Bites The Dust” to the basketball group on Facebook. That led to some Vandy baseball fans wanting to see it when their season starts. That gave me access to start posting on some Vandy specific group pages on Facebook. As soon as I mentioned how successful the baseball team is (regularly goes to Omaha and last won the College World Series in 2019) and the fact that after each win that clip would go to somewhere between 8,000-10,000 separate Facebook feeds, her response was “You know I could be available”. Basically would be like the bookend to the anthem so you would have a “Win a game, get a Lynagh performance” scenario. Told her I would work on it. Good time to catch you all up because Sunshine decided on his own that since he already performed one Shenandoah song due to what I mentioned earlier, why not do another. Started recording it and based on what happened part of me was irritated because someone got in front of the camera, but, just had to laugh at the whole crazy scenario that had been going on. Will let you see the results for yourself.

Sunshine posted a “Behind the scenes” video of Lyssa Coulter and him recording “Animals”. Figured I would go ahead and share it because you couldn’t hear any of his vocals with the footage Lyssa posted previously.

Point/Counterpoint “Animals” Pre-Save Video

Since he is involved with two songs coming out the 29th, Sunshine created a hilarious “counterpoint” to Lyssa’s IG story trying to get people to pre-save their cover of Nickelback’s “Animals”.
