As a continuation of what was the most Y.O.L.O. (You only live once) set I have seen, there was another “What do you want to sing?” moment. When there is nothing going on, Sunshine wil start playing a random guitar riff. That was how I learned he knew Derek and the Dominos “Layla”. He started playing the opening riff to this song and the conversation went like this:
Lucas: “You want to play that?”
Sunshine: “Sure, why not?”
L: “Which part do you want?”
S: “I’ll take the other one since I don’t have a “Man’s Voice”” (Referring to how Lucas can drop his an octave) .
L: “Okay, let’s do it then”.
After I uploaded the clip to Google Drive I messaged them asking if they were okay with me posting it outside of here. As I write this Sunshine hasn’t seen it yet. Lucas has but no response yet. If it does go anywhere else I haven’t decided if I want to bill it as the “Completely comfortable with their sexuality version” or as I said to Lynagh after I filmed it, the “I never thought I would ever see, much less film, the “Brokeback Mountain” version” of this song so let me go ahead and share with all of you Lucas Alexander and Sunshine James performing Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash’s “Jackson”.
As is his fashion, Sunshine announced somewhat last minute the official music video of Alyssa Coulter and his cover of Nickelback’s “Animals” is today at 12:00PM Central time in the U.S. adjust accordingly for your area.
