Josh’s set started at 1:00PM, but, wasn’t able to get there until about 3:00. You can tell this was the first Sunday in a while with nice weather since the crowds were back. Also pushed me to the far edge of the venue. Was literally leaning against a pole that supports the staircase that takes you to the upper floors. The good thing with that was since I didn’t have to worry about anyone behind me I could put the phone over my head to as best I could “shoot over” the crowd. As a set progresses most times there might be an overall theme (Rock, Country, etc.) so that is what leads to the content you see. A couple of songs before this one they received a request that Dave the bass player performed that was a rap song with a lot of sexual innuendo. That led Josh to comment before this song, “I apologize now for the content of this hour”. The song itself Lynagh has commented before it is on the “$100.00 tip list”. Don’t know if that was the amount Josh received but since they received a tip, they went with it. The song itself is Trey Lewis’ “Dicked Down In Dallas” so the disclaimer applies. To accidentally tie into the theme, if you can’t make out the copy on Josh’s shirt it reads “Tight Jeans / Loose Morals”. That is an official shirt of The Valentine and the bartenders wear them quite often. They are available for purchase at the venue. Checked their website and no merchandise available for sale was listed, sorry.
As is his fashion, Sunshine announced somewhat last minute the official music video of Alyssa Coulter and his cover of Nickelback’s “Animals” is today at 12:00PM Central time in the U.S. adjust accordingly for your area.
