Lots of intertwined stories on this one so I will go ahead and get into it. For all the long time followers you know I would catch Leah Crose’s set with the full band at The Valentine on Sundays from 2:00PM-6:00PM, then, her acoustic set with Lynagh at Loser’s from 6:00PM-10:00PM. Last August I woke up one morning to a couple of random emails from two people I didn’t know requesting access to one of Sunshine James’ clips I had posted on Google Drive. Since I had no idea how they got my email address, sent him a message on Instagram asking if he knew what was going on. Since it was a few hours before he responded, had to wait before I did anything. Once he finally did, he replied, “Oh yeah, those are my parents”. Replied back, “That’s fine, but you couldn’t give me a heads up?”. He replied, “Sorry, my bad”. Partly as a joke but also as something to hang over his head if he did something like that again, went to Lynagh during her set at The Whiskey Shot on a Saturday (was a one time occurrence so that is why you haven’t seen anything since) and asked her to perform Bill Withers’ “Ain’t No Sunshine” but to change the gender and since she has a background as a “Theater Kid”, to channel her inner Spinal Tap and “Crank The Drama To 11”. Posted it here and on Google Drive. Made the comment when I sent him the link that if he did something like that again, would post it publicly. Bring it up because it was when I was making that request there, I said to her that I was originally going to wait until the next day and ask her to perform it at Loser’s. She thought I was going to ask for a duet of Leah and her. That was when she said they weren’t performing together anymore. Since then I tried to keep it fairly equal in regards to coverage so each one didn’t think I was playing favorites. Fast forward a few months to a writers round she did at Alley Taps. No footage from that because I was at a really bad angle and about three feet from the stage. Also didn’t have time to get the other artist’s permission. We were talking after the set and she wanted to borrow my phone to “Show me how to do something on Instagram”. During the process she saw Leah was following me. Needless to say she wasn’t pleased since her exact comment was, “Leah f****d me!”. I know it was something business related, but as soon as she said it, as a guy my first thought sarcastically to myself was “Thank you for putting that visual imagery in my head”. Then she followed it up with, “Fine, I’ll follow you too” and did that on her phone then said, “You know you can do whatever you want”. Not the first time a woman said that to me and it usually didn’t end well but so far I have “kept the peace”. Fast forward again and Leah’s set time changed from 2:00PM-6:00PM to 4:00PM-8:00PM which allowed me to start catching Josh Hughett since he moved to 1:00PM-4:00PM, but, that also meant these artists were left out because they regularly perform at Redneck Riviera from 4:00PM-8:00PM as well. Because I needed to try last Sunday and cram as many videos as possible so I would have something to regularly work on for a while for personal reasons, decided to break it down into three two hour sessions. Now I can go into this clip. Since after all these months (we have been following each other since we met during Sunshine’s writers round last September) and the weather was nice enough the entire rooftop was open they knew when I showed up it was “Go Time” and a couple of “Well that never happened before” moments occurred. The second one I will get to later, but during the set Sydney (the one on the right) walked up to me and put a PBR on the table and said “Thank you for stopping by”. That is the first time any of these artists bought ME a drink so if you haven’t done so already and like their material if you would purchase one of their songs, I would appreciate it. With all that out of the way I am so happy to FINALLY present Reckless Bound performing the Carly Pearce and Ashley McBride song “Never Wanted To Be That Girl” and since I made the request, you can find them under their name at the iTunes Store and this is the link to their page on Spotify:

P.S. - Sydney is from Indiana, but Emma is from Canada, so I have officially gone international.
As is his fashion, Sunshine announced somewhat last minute the official music video of Alyssa Coulter and his cover of Nickelback’s “Animals” is today at 12:00PM Central time in the U.S. adjust accordingly for your area.
