You will notice a trend in all of the clips I filmed this past Saturday. That is because as I mentioned in the last post Sunshine played a solo set from 11:00AM-2:00PM. After that I went to the rooftop of The Valentine because I can jack into either The Tin Roof’s or their wi-fi. Also because April one of the lead bartenders was working and I get my beer basically half price 😁. It was from there I posted all the music clips I uploaded that day.
After that, Jillian and he had a set on the rooftop of Redneck Riviera from 6:30PM-9:30PM, then, the full band was on the second floor from 10:00PM-2:00AM. To say the filming conditions on the rooftop were not ideal is an understatement. Because the weather went back and forth from a light drizzle to a moderate rain I was under the canopy with them and I was about four feet from the stage so I had to really zoom out the camera so they would fit.
As an example of how it went, Sunshine and I had talked about wanting to record their original music so when I did the audio overlays I could sync their released songs to their performances like I do with my clip of Leah Crose. A bachelor party from Michigan showed up and immediately became huge fans and kept requesting original material. The good news is they performed them without issue. The bad news is they wouldn’t get out from in front of the camera, and, wouldn’t stop chatting.
Out of the entire set was able to get this one clip.
When I was trying to get someone to go with me to the Allison Krause/Robert Plant concert Sunshine mentioned she was a big fan, but, did not know she had this in her repertoire. This is Jillian Eliza performing Led Zeppelin’s “Going To California”.
As is his fashion, Sunshine announced somewhat last minute the official music video of Alyssa Coulter and his cover of Nickelback’s “Animals” is today at 12:00PM Central time in the U.S. adjust accordingly for your area.
