Lots to cover so let’s get started. After the Thursday Night/Friday Morning session and having to spend extended periods of time holding the camera over my head and the resulting pain (torn rotator cuff will do that to you) along with me getting tired of having to deal with the surrounding crowd noise, finally decided to start “playing with the big boys” and purchased what you see in the first picture. It is a tripod that converts into a “selfie stick” so that will hopefully eliminate the first problem along with a directional mike that will hopefully eliminate the second. Initially tried it out this past Sunday, but, apparently I had to download two apps to get everything to work so I didn’t get to really use it until last night.
Speaking of last night didn’t mention it before now, but, Bennett Coleman is back in town. Reason for that is he posted a while back on Facebook and Instagram he was “discovered by a Nashville producer via social media” so he is going into the recording studio today. Bring up his announcement because I figured I helped (and by extension all of you due to your continued support) that assisted in making it possible. Second picture is him on stage last night at a place called The Row. He was already there when I showed up. Since we started chatting, didn’t get the opportunity to take any other pictures before his set started. Once I start posting Rumble links you will notice with the new equipment no more camera movement so that will improve the video presentation, but it was a very small crowd, so I am not sure yet regarding the audio.
After that set he asked if I wanted to go with him to Winners. There was a program I hadn’t heard of before called “Pitch Meeting”. Picture going to a karaoke bar as a singer/songwriter, but, you get to perform one original song with a full band. He signed up to get on stage, but, they closed it down before he got the opportunity.
Bring it up because while we were waiting off to the side of the stage, I thought I recognized a guy who just happened to be standing in front of us. As soon as he turned his head it was confirmed. Tapped Donny Van Slee on the shoulder, said hi and got to introduce Bennett and him to each other. Heard them talking and apparently the two of them have been communicating with each other through social media. So as another “Can you believe this?” moment because I never thought that I would be the person who would be the catalyst to how two artists based in different parts of the country would get to know each other.

“Animals” Behind the scenes video

Sunshine posted a “Behind the scenes” video of Lyssa Coulter and him recording “Animals”. Figured I would go ahead and share it because you couldn’t hear any of his vocals with the footage Lyssa posted previously.

Point/Counterpoint “Animals” Pre-Save Video

Since he is involved with two songs coming out the 29th, Sunshine created a hilarious “counterpoint” to Lyssa’s IG story trying to get people to pre-save their cover of Nickelback’s “Animals”.
